NC State College of Design presents Alexander Isley
Alexander Isley inspires us. Yes, he was named one of the most innovative designers in the past 50 years by his peers. Yes, he’s won all kinds of awards. The fact is, Alexander Isley does straight-up great work.
His firm, Alexander Isley, Inc., is dedicated to engaging people’s imaginations, getting them thinking, and encouraging them to act. Their work has been represented at the Museum of Modern Art, the Smithsonian Institution, and the Library of Congress, to name a few.
Alex has also been actively engaged in the design community—he is past president of AIGA New York, a current AIGA/CT advisory board member and an AIGA fellow. And he stays connected to the community where he got his start. Isley received a degree in Environmental Design from the School of Design at North Carolina State University. We were honored to have him share his work during Hopscotch Design Festival in September 2014. And we’re excited to sponsor his return with the College of Design and AIGA Raleigh. Alex will be back at his alma mater for the inaugural Designlife® Alumni Lecture Series. The event (which is free, by the way) will be held on NC State’s Centennial Campus at the Hunt Library. Some of Alex’s work will be on display in the Immersion Lab.
