Kris is a leader, facilitator, and communicator. In other words, she’s a relationship director. She helps clients and New Kinders stay informed, engaged, inspired, and sometimes entertained so they know what’s happening around them, why it matters, and how everyone can contribute.
An experienced marketer, Kris spent 25 years in B2B open source marketing and branding with companies like Red Hat and IBM, including leading Red Hat’s most recent rebrand. Her handiwork can be seen lighting up the Raleigh skyline on a clear night atop Red Hat Tower. She’s also consulted, guided, and worked alongside agencies for much of her career—and now brings that unique perspective to her New Kind clients.
A former Division I athlete, she’s a firm believer in the power of teamwork and people working together to accomplish great things. She’ll watch and try to play just about any sport, and welcomes debate on the best teams in professional and collegiate sports at any time.
One of her favorite quotes comes from former NC State basketball coach Kay Yow: “When life kicks you, let it kick you forward.”
