Shelby Tramel

Director of Operations

A team’s success is everything

Shelby has 8 years of agency experience working in the technology, fashion, and government industries.  With her analytical mind and keen eye for detail, she brings structure and sophistication to New Kind’s daily operations.

Shelby moved to Raleigh by way of San Francisco, New York City, and Texas. She earned her B.A. in Advertising & Marketing Communications from the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City, and also has an Associate’s degree in Spanish Language and International Business—earned while studying abroad in Spain. Over the past eight years, Shelby has helped shape and streamline companies’ internal operations—focusing on efficient workflows, data-driven decisions, and growth-oriented solutions.

In 2015, Shelby co-founded the nonprofit “This Team Saves Lives,” a women’s cycling team racing to end severe acute malnutrition. As a former elite-level competitive cyclist herself, you can likely find Shelby cycling all over the Triangle’s rolling hills, hiking up the steepest mountains she can find, and enjoying Raleigh’s best eats and drinks.
